“OBNTS” (oh but nothing’s the same) is the first track off of Naomi Westwater’s Sophomore album, Cycle & Change.

Written on their porch on an unseasonably hot May day, Naomi Westwater’s “OBNTS” is a breakup song for childhood friendships and the paradigm shift that we all experienced in the early days of the pandemic. It also recognizes all the changes that climate change has caused in our daily lives.

A song on grief and acceptance, “OBNTS” is a realization that childhood and our lives before the pandemic and before climate change are not coming back, “oh but nothing is the same anymore.

Heather Scott and Naomi Westwater team up with their friends to celebrate the return of the sun with Yule. Playing traditional and original holiday songs, Yule is folk, it is electric, it is magic, it is history, and it is sadness. Scott and Westwater play with the light and dark, and the warmth and cold of the holiday season, and welcome back the sun. Here are 7 songs to play on a chilly day, when the clouds are heavy with snow.

Naomi Westwater’s Feelings EP begins with a sparse, powerful statement: “My body is not my home.” Feelings asks listeners to further identify their thoughts on racial injustices in America, the importance of climate change, relationships with their own bodies and where they land on the spiritual spectrum.
